The “Concordia Cup” 2022 this weekend

This golf competition in match play by team and individual, sees each year the golfers of the Dutch part and those of the French part confronting each other during the weekend of November 11th, day of the Saint-Martin/Sint Maarten feast and of the treaty of Concordia.

This year the competition takes place on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13, November. On Saturday at 8 am, the players will start in “shot gun” on the very green fairways of Mullet Bay, for the 4 balls formula: on each hole the best score of the 2 players of each team is taken and each one plays his ball.

Then it will be time for a quick lunch before leaving at 12:30 for another “18 holes” in “foursome” formula: the 2 players hit the same ball alternately until the end of the hole.

The next day, Sunday, it will be the “match-play” again from 8am with 18 individual games, for a potential of 18 points to win in total.

A Suriname lunch (Bami / nasi / sate / springrolls) will be served to the participants after the proclamation of the results at around 12 pm.

Saint-Martin has won the 3 previous Concordia Cup and this year St. Maarten will fight hard to bring back home the “Jason Nyuiadzi Trophy”.

The results will be published in Wa’appen and Faxinfo next Wednesday.
