MARIGOT: The September edition of the market, originally scheduled for last weekend, had to be postponed due to the passage of the tropical storm. The cultural market of Quartier Orléans is back in force this Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 September from 2pm to 7pm.
The organizers, Eléa, a graduate in agronomy, and her brother Obadiah, a self-taught craftsman, invite the population to discover or rediscover the joys of their local, artisanal and cultural market during the two afternoons of this weekend. The stalls are diverse and varied, always featuring local products and craftsmanship: coconut and sweet potato preserves, pudding, homemade caramels, Linda’s candies, local honey, pies, fresh fruit juices, trompe l’oeil soaps in the shape of a cupcake, cake or lollipop, vegetarian or vegan pizza prepared by Obadiah in his artisanal oven, or aromatic plants and herbs. Children will be entertained by the miniature golf course. The Quartier d’Orléans cultural market opens its doors at 2pm and is located at number 11 of the impasse Mont Saline. Just follow the signs to get to the market, which has a great reputation.
