MARIGOT: From May 14 to 22, French Red Cross volunteers will meet the public to collect the donations needed to support their local activities. These national days of the French Red Cross are an essential event for the continuation of solidarity actions.
‘‘After two years of a serious health crisis and in the midst of a conflict that Europe has not experienced since the Second World War, our society is suffering the full impact of multi-dimensional crises that will last for a long time, and difficulties are likely to multiply for the most vulnerable, but also for new segments of the population. Solidarity is essential in these uncertain times! The volunteers of the French Red Cross need all the support of the public during this week of mobilization which will allow them to collect money to continue and even intensify their local solidarity actions’’ – Philippe Da Costa, President of the French Red Cross.
During this time, thousands of volunteers from the French Red Cross will travel throughout France and the overseas territories to meet with the public to obtain their support to continue to help the most vulnerable. They are counting on you to bring your financial support to their social actions in favor of vulnerable people in the territories.
In St. Martin, the volunteers of the French Red Cross are also mobilizing and will ask you for your support and your financial participation to continue to run the DAY-CARE/POINTHYGIENE PLACE, located at the Red Cross House, in Concordia. (Since the beginning of the health crisis, the number of people welcomed during our services has tripled and continues to increase).
You can also give your time for this great event, by coming to help the Red Cross and becoming a volunteer for a day.
The Red Cross would like to thank all the people, businesses, companies and administrations who allow this collection on their sites.
