The number of contaminations in St. Martin is decreasing

MARIGOT: The last sanitary bulletin published by the Regional Health Agency (week from April 18th to 24th) shows a significant decrease in the number of contaminations on the territory with 75 new cases recorded against 113 the previous week.

It should be noted that since April 25 (results from week 17), 30 new cases of Covid have been recorded out of 784 tests performed.

Epidemiological indicators confirm a decrease

In terms of epidemiological indicators, the incidence rate has decreased significantly. It is now 209.8/100,000 inhabitants compared to 316.1/100,000 inhabitants during the week of April 11 to 17.

Otherwise, out of 2610 tests performed during the week of April 18 to 24, the weekly positivity rate is 2.9% compared to 4.8 the previous week.

In addition, a Covid patient was treated last week at the Louis-Constant Fleming Hospital.

Since the beginning of the health crisis, 63 residents of Saint-Martin and 6 of Saint-Barthélemy have died from Covid-19.
