MARIGOT: Last Monday, two mini-markets located in Quartier d’Orléans and in Concordia were the target of a criminal who, at gunpoint, took the cash in both establishments.
The events took place within a few hours of each other. The first one at 11:10 am in the Best Price supermarket located on the main road in Quartier d’Orléans. An individual wearing a red long-sleeved T-shirt, a blue balaclava mask and red Adidas sneakers burst into the store. Armed with of a sawed-off shotgun, the robber stole the cash in hand (about 200 euros). While he stole the money, the employee managed to escape.
The second armed robbery took place in the early afternoon in Concordia. The Ume Market convenience store was the target of the same robber, with an identical modus operandi, for an estimated loss of 300 euros.
An investigation was opened by the gendarmerie.
