MARIGOT: Epidemiological indicators for St. Martin show a clear improvement in the health situation but still call for vigilance.
For the week of January 24 to 30, the ARS counted 197 new cases of Covid-19 in the territory, compared to 566 the previous week. The cumulative number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in St. Martin since the beginning of the health crisis is 9621.
It should be noted that since last Monday, 27 new cases of Covid-19 have already been recorded out of 442 analyses carried out.
Sharp decline in indicators
According to the SI-DEP ARS data, the incidence rate is down to 551.1/100,000 inhabitants, compared to 1583.4/100,000 from January 17 to 23.
The weekly positivity rate is also decreasing, with a rate of 6.2% from January 24 to 30, compared to 12.1% the previous week.
It should be noted that 6 patients confirmed as having Covid are being treated at the Louis-Constant Fleming Hospital. One medical evacuation was carried out between January 24 and 30. Finally, two Covid-19 positive patients died at the Louis-Constant Fleming Hospital in the last two weeks.
