St. Barths: For those who would like to visit the neighboring island, enjoy an event which features classical music and jazz. Created by the American violinist Frances DeBroff, the St. Barths Music Festival has become an institution on the island.
The festivities began this Friday, January 8 with a jazz and dance show. Many international artists will perform until January 17. Artists such as percussionist Jason Marsalis, the famous conductor Boian Videnoff, the String Trio, violinist Tessa Lark, the Joel Lyssarides Trio and others come from the four corners of the world.
Also worth mentioning is the arrival of the famous soprano Sarah Joy Miller who will be accompanied by mezzo-soprano Daveda Karendas, baritone Zachary Nelson and tenor David Miller who will perform twice this Friday, January 14, at 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM, all conducted by Steven Mercurio to interpret opera masterpieces such as La Traviata and The Marriage of Figaro.
This 38th edition will close on Sunday January 16th with a jazz concert. These chosen places will participate in an extraordinary musical journey: Anglican church, Catholic church of Gustavia, church of Loriens.
