MARIGOT: The Collectivité de Saint Martin has proceeded, these last days, to the decoration and the illumination of the territory for the holidays.
The company Getelec has installed luminous banners on Rue de la République and at the corner of Rue Kennedy and Rue Général de Gaulle. The 4 traffic circles were illuminated (3D motifs on the roundabouts), 3 giant Christmas trees made in the territory were installed at the entrance of Sandy Ground and Grand Case. The one initially planned for Quartier d’Orléans was installed on the Marigot seafront, a neighborhood association has proposed to install a large tree in Quartier d’Orléans.
The Collectivity also installed candelabra patterns in the shopping streets as well as 3 illuminated street crossings at the entrance of Orleans, Sandy Ground, and Grand Case.
– The Christmas market: Friday, December 17, Thursday, December 23 and Thursday, December 30, central parking lot in front of the COM hotel in Marigot (entrance by Rue de la Liberté),
– The CTOS children’s parade in Marigot, Saturday, December 18 from 3 to 5 pm:
The parade route: The parade will leave from Emile Choisy School at 3 pm, to reach the downtown area via the following route: Mingau Street, Spring Street, Holland Street, Republic Street, and France Boulevard on the seafront.
A territorial bylaw provides for the closure of road traffic during the passage of the parade for the safety of children.
