SIMPSON BAY: The Rotary Club of Saint-Martin North organized an outing to the Simpsonbay lagoon for senior citizens on Saturday, December 11, from 2 to 5 pm.
The senior citizens of Bethany Home and of the different districts of St. Martin enjoyed a boat trip on the Explorer during a complete tour of the lagoon, with buffet, drinks, musical entertainment and dances (for some). Despite a few gusts of wind, the weather was favorable and the sun was shining. Our “senior citizens” had an excellent afternoon and hope to meet again for the next Christmas outing in 2022.
This event is indeed an annual project of the Rotary Club of Saint-Martin North, since its creation in 1988. Except in 2020 when this project could not be organized due to constraints related to the COVID-19 crisis.
This boat trip was made possible by funds raised by a previous paying “boat party”, on Saturday, November 27 from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm. on the same boat, with about a hundred people that the Rotary-Club thanks for their participation, because they are the main donors without whom this humanitarian project could not have taken place.
The Rotary Club of Saint-Martin North also thanks all those who donated prizes for the raffle on November 27:
Artsen Gas Service, Galerie Minguet, Rapidoprint, Grand-Case Beach Club and Bar-restaurant Sunset, restaurant la Villa Créole in Grand-Case, Restaurant-boutique Top-Carrot, Restaurants Le Bistro de la mer, O Plongeoir, La Main à la Pâte, Be Cool, Tropicana, La Petite Auberge, La Croissanterie, Boutiques Ananas and La Parisienne,
