MARIGOT: The Collectivité informs the public of the reopening of the Jean-Louis Vanterpool stadium in Marigot to sports activities, as of this Monday, November 29.
Schools and associations will be able to use the Sports Hall and the stadium from Monday. The locker rooms will also be open to schools and sports competitions from this Monday, November 29.
The Collectivity specifies to have proceeded, these last weeks, to emergency works requested for a long time by the users of the structure, essentially works of security of the site.
These include the installation of a rigid fence to replace the wall of the refectory of the former Nina Duverly School, the repair of the access gate on rue de Hollande and the gates in the stadium area, as well as the treatment of the playground against ants.
When will the synthetic turf be installed?
The installation of an artificial turf is still desperately awaited by soccer players (youth and adults) who do not ask for much but simply to practice their sport in a stadium worthy of the name.
