MARIGOT: The Fédération Inter Professionnelle de la Collectivité de St. Martin is once again bringing people together for a worthy cause which will benefit all concerned.
The concept of this event is to invite professionals (entrepreneurs, business leaders, etc. …) to gather around breakfast in the company of officials of the Collectivity of St. Martin and the Prefecture to discuss and debate on the difficulties, fears or blockages they may encounter and receive answers to their questions.
While the tourist season is fast approaching, the health situation and the news of the last few weeks will not have simplified the task of some, quite the contrary. Michel Vogel, president of the FipCom, shared with us the concerns of professionals, which reinforces his desire to strengthen ties between them, without sectarianism, with the sole objective of the sustainability of Saint Martin. The agenda of this breakfast is full, proving the importance and urgency of dealing with several economic issues with the preparation of the 2021/2022 high season at the top of the list, which everyone hopes will be productive, profitable and smooth. Even if this one seems to augur well with the return of the cruise ships, it is strong to note that the obstacles remain numerous. About sixty people, including the Prefect Serge Gouteyron and Daniel Gibbs, President of the Collectivity of Saint Martin, will be gathered to facilitate meetings, free debate and the sharing of experience and ideas.
Unlike the first two editions which took place at the Hommage Hôtel, this one will be held at the Lycée Professionnel Daniella Jeffry in Concordia to the delight of Michel Vogel who was president of the parents association. The high school students will be in charge of the service and will be invited to participate in the exchanges.
