MARIGOT: The latest health bulletin published by the Regional Health Agency for the period from October 25 to 31 reports 39 new cases recorded in St. Martin, a figure that has increased since 24 cases were identified the week before.
Taking into account the consolidated data of the previous weeks, this brings to 3,907 the number of cumulative cases of coronavirus confirmed in the territory since the beginning of the health crisis.
It should be noted that since October 31, 6 new cases of Covid-19 have been recorded out of 569 tests performed.
Moreover, as of November 3, there are no confirmed Covid patients hospitalized at the Louis-Constant Fleming Hospital.
Since the beginning of the health crisis, 56 residents of Saint Martin and 6 residents of Saint Barthelemy have died as a result of Covid.
A slight deterioration in epidemiological indicators
The incidence rate is increasing and is above the alert threshold, at 109.1/100,000 inhabitants compared to 67.1/100,000 the previous week.
The weekly incidence rate is also on the rise and stands at 96/100,000 inhabitants, compared to 59/100,000 from October 18 to 24.
Finally, the weekly positivity rate is also slightly up. It remains below the vigilance threshold, with a rate of 1.9% in the week from October 25 to 31, compared to 1.3% the week before.
