GERMANY: The young woman was working on the packaging of banknotes. She disappeared with 8 million euros. The 28-year-old was responsible for wrapping banknotes in cassettes, which then have to be transported by a carrier to ATMs at bank branches.
It’s been a month and a half since Yasemin Gündogan has not given any sign of life. This 28-year-old young woman is nowhere to be found and she has more than enough to support herself under a false identity. On May 21, she stole some eight million euros in small denominations in Bremen, Germany.
To find the fugitive, investigators have issued a call for witnesses in Germany, although they suspect that Yasemin Gündogan has long since crossed the border.
This alert was also communicated to the 26 European countries which have adopted the Schengen Information System (SIS), the file making it possible to list all the people wanted with a view to arrest or extradition in the context of criminal proceedings.
