LUXEMBOURG: On Monday afternoon, shortly before 2 p.m., traffic was completely stopped on the line between Luxembourg and Kleinbettingen, due to an incident at a level crossing in Bertrange.
According to the CFL, the fault lies with a motorist who did not respect the highway code. She was able to leave her vehicle just before the train hit her. Shocked, she was taken to hospital for treatment. None of the 35 passengers on the train from Arlon was injured. They were able to continue their journey with a bus. Traffic resumed around 3:10 p.m.
The prosecutor opened an investigation and sent the technical and scientific police to the scene of the incident.
