Winners of the Innovation Contest 2021

GRAND CASE: The awards ceremony for the 6th edition of the Innovation Contest 2021 took place at the Sunset Café Beach Club in Grand Case. This event was organized by Initiative Saint Martin Active, which was also celebrating its 20th anniversary on the territory.

This year, Initiative Saint Martin Active chose the theme of ecology and circular economy. Of the twelve applications submitted, seven were selected.

The Contest was financed by Initiative Saint Martin Active, the Collectivité de Saint Martin, the Crédit Mutuel, the accounting firm GCL, the CCISM, the CEPAC Caisse d’Epargne, C2D Consulting facilitator of eco-organization and Dauphin Telecom.

The results of the 6th edition of the Innovation contest are as follows:

*Fabienne BEISSEICHE wins the 1st prize Crédit Mutuel 5000 euros, special prize Eco+ C2D Consulting 500 euros, breakfast offered by the Sunset Café of Grand-Case.

Her project: To provide handicraft sewing courses using recycled materials.

*Jean-Marc AUBRY wins the 2nd prize GCL Cabinet d’Expertise 2000 euros, voucher of 70 euros offered by Grand Maison

His project: The integration of people in great difficulty by learning or perfecting an activity of construction of solar water heaters made with recycled materials for people in precarious situations.

*Emmanuel GIMENEZ wins the 3rd prize CCISM 1000 euros

His project: an enterprise to set up animal breeding that will considerably reduce the carbon footprint.

*Roberta HAILLANT, owner of SM’ART FAXINFO – ART GALLERY in Bellevue with Noame CHRIFI-ALAOUI and Fabienne LOZANO wins the Special Woman Prize CEPAC Caisse d’Epargne 1000 euros

Her project: To promote and enhance art and culture on the island, to encourage artistic expression, creation and entrepreneurial initiatives of artists, to set up artistic garbage cans on the territory along the beaches.

*Régine Helligar awarded the C2D CONSULTING Audacity Prize 500 euros

Her project: To create placemats with the ecological and circular economy label.

*Jean-Baptiste GIRAUD and Gwléïna ABRAHAM won the Special Prize Eco Mobilier 500 euros

Their project: Manufacture of an ecological ashtray holder.

*Warren REDERSDORFF and Lucas JAULIN win the Special Youth Prize, 2 phones offered by Dauphin Telecom

Their project: Manufacture of a floating platform that can accommodate housing or other activities.
