The Sint Maarten Yacht Club Sailing School sent 11 sailors to St. Barths on the Great Bay Express on June 19. The sailors were to participate in a sailing race organized by the Saint Barth Yacht Club.
Justin Pieterse, Kai Henriques and Frits Bus sailed a laser and the rest teamed up in RS Feva’s to achieve the best possible results.
Jordan Pieterse and Emma Lennox did a great job by finishing 3rd.
Chris de Wilde and Arhan Baharani came in 5th
Melina de Vries and Veronica Destin came 8th
Dax Henriques and Frasener Faustin came 9th
Frits Bus took 2nd in the Laser Class, right behind his rival and good friend Bernoit Meesemaecker from St. Barths.
The wind conditions were great, the sun was out and it was a great experience for all the sailors to compete in a sailing race off island.
