GRAND CASE: Celebrating their 30 anniversary Lapierre’s marble opened their warehouse to friends and clients to witness a wonderful one-night art exhibit.
Statues made from marble and metal were displayed all around thrilling the eye as one walked around the corners of the large warehouse – a perfect setting for the evening. Included in the displays were numerous works by Mark Templeton; he is adept in metal and wood work.
Carla Templeton’s forte is clay. She works with porcelain, raku and stoneware. Each kind of clay needs a different approach. Her clay work often includes metal and wood. Frances Ek is well known for his stunning large frames in oil and acrylics. His scenes depict scenery from various places in Europe and the Caribbean. Cindy Choisy aka CinLab displayed her paper and threadwork.
Cati Burnot showed some intriguing work in oils. There were some fabulous resin pieces (coffee tables) displayed by Alexandre Chaplin, a designer of note.
Acrobats and an Aerial Silks show enthralled the guests during this celebratory affair.
