Mandatory PCR or antigenic test for non-vaccinated

MARIGOT: Due to the current sanitary situation, the Prefect of the Northern Islands, Serge Gouteyron, has decided, as of this Tuesday June 22nd, 2021, to impose a PCR test of less than 72 hours or antigenic test of less than 48 hours for all travelers coming from Guadeloupe or Martinique.

This measure is in addition to the existing measures for people who cannot justify a complete vaccination scheme. Namely;

– the obligation for passengers to undergo a 7-day self-isolation upon their arrival in our territories;

– the presentation of compelling reasons that must justify any travel between these departments and our territories.

People who can prove that they have been fully vaccinated are not subject to any of these obligations.

The Prefect reminds that vaccination remains the best way to protect oneself against the Covid-19 epidemic and that the Galisbay vaccinodrome is open from Monday to Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., including for teenagers aged 11 to 18.

Nearly 28% of the population has received a first injection, which is a favorable factor in the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic, but still insufficient to allow a return to normal life.
