SEOUL: A five-story building collapsed in southern South Korea on Wednesday, throwing debris at a bus and killing four people on board, officials said.
The disaster occurred in the city of Gwangju. Cement from the building fell on the bus, which had stopped on a nearby street.
Rescuers rushed to the scene saved eight people in the vehicle, before finding the four victims. All the injured are seriously affected.
Operations continue to search for other victims who may be trapped under the rubble.
An official said all workers who worked in the building were able to evacuate before it collapsed.
