MARIGOT: SAUR Saint Martin announces in a press release that phase 1 of the renovation work on the drinking water production unit (UPEP) planned by EEASM has been completed since Friday, June 4th.
The production capacity of the Galisbay plant has been increased, allowing, for example, to face the exceptional breakage of this weekend in controlled conditions.
Priority is now given to the reconstitution of water stocks as the hurricane season begins.
In this sense, SAUR SaintMartin informs its subscribers of the suspension of water outages with the following objectives
– reduce the inconvenience caused to the subscribers,
– to reconstitute essential safety reserves,
– to give the EEASM and the company in charge of the works the time to secure the second phase of the works.
The second phase of the rehabilitation of the plant is currently being planned and will soon be defined between EEASM and the company carrying out the work.
