Turner of Indiana Pacers donates face masks

PHILIPSBURG: Myles Christian Turner of United States-based Indiana Pacers basketball team has donated  US $10,000-worth of face masks to Minister of Public Health, Social Development and Labor Omar Ottley for distribution to children and young adults.

Turner is also interested in contributing to the community through his WARM foundation. He plans to keep in touch with the health minister about this goal.

Turner made the donation during a discussion with Ottley about the promotion of the destination and the increase of safe tourism.

Ottley thanked Turner and WARM for the “generous contribution” to the country.

Turner is an American professional basketball player for the Indiana Pacers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played one season for the Texas Longhorns before declaring for the 2015 NBA draft and being selected by the Pacers with the 11th overall pick.
