CAY BAY: Seaside Nature Park will host its inter-club dressage competition on Sunday, June 13, starting at 9:30am. Horse riders and dressage enthusiasts are invited to come out and support the riders.
Dressage, a French term, is a form of riding performed in exhibition and competition, as well as an art sometimes pursued solely for the sake of mastery.
The competition will be at three levels: beginners (age 6-8), beginner (age 8 and older), and intermediate. Beginner level will feature walking and trotting. Intermediate will focus on walking, trotting and cantering.
The park’s restaurant will serve its famous, delicious and huge Dutch pancakes after the competition. There will also be horseback riding demos, music, and fun on the beach.
The little ones can be kept busy with the mini animals, games, beach time, and pony rides among other activities.
Registration fee for the competition is US $15. All proceeds will go to improving the park’s riding lesson program.
