MARIGOT: The French side COVID-19-related curfew is to remain in place “still least until Saturday morning”. This was the word from the Prefecture in a press conference held Tuesday afternoon.
The curfew is currently from 8:00pm nightly until the following morning.
A new decision about whether to continue the curfew as if, extend it, or lift it all together will be made known to the public on Saturday. The figures of the health assessment will play a large part in the curfew – lifting or not – decision
A total of 113 new cases of COVID-19 were identified last week according to the latest figures from the French health agency ARS.
The curfew was put in place more than a week ago as a measure of slowing the spread of the virus. Special permission is needed for the use of the roads during the curfew period.
