Armed Forces support vaccination

GUADELOUPE: At the request of the Prefecture of Guadeloupe, the Armed Forces in the French West Indies have been reinforcing the ARS Guadeloupe and the Northern Islands since the beginning of June by providing a medical and administrative team.

The aim is to provide support and assistance to the civil authorities during the vaccination campaign of the population of Guadeloupe and the Northern Islands.

Doctors and nurses as well as an administrative reinforcement from the Joint Medical Center of Guadeloupe intervene at the vaccinodrome of the Pôle Caraïbes Airport one day a week and on Saint Martin for periods of a whole week.

Like the civilian staff of the Regional Health Agency, the military personnel provide medical consultations, give injections and record the procedures performed.This mission will end on June 18th.
