A few months before the beginning of the Summer Olympics, the warning is updated. The United States recommended yesterday to their nationals not to travel to Japan, host country of the competition, because of the risks related to the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Due to Covid-19, do not travel to Japan,” wrote the U.S. State Department on www.travel.state.gov, which raised its travel warning to the maximum level of caution.
Several protests have taken place in Japan in recent weeks against the organization of the Olympic Games.
