St. Maarten to reopen to ABC islands

AIRPORT: St. Maarten will reopen to non-resident travelers from Aruba, Curacao and Bonaire (ABC) in the coming days. The decision about when exactly this will happen will be determined by the amount of time health authorities need to input changes in the world travel database. This should happen by early next week.

Health Minister Omar Ottley said when the date is given, people coming from the ABC islands, whether residents of St. Maarten or non-residents, will need one of the following: vaccinated people will need a 48-hour negative antigen test and non-vaccinated people will need a 72-hrs or less negative PCR test to gain entry to St. Maarten.

St. Maarten has been closed to non-resident travelers from the ABC islands for more than a month now due to a surge in COVID-19 cases on those islands. That surge has since dissipated allowing for resumption of some normal travel among these Dutch Caribbean islands.
