SIMPSON BAY: Utilities company GEBE and Princess Juliana International Airport are rendering support to the volcano- affected St Vincent and the Grenadines.
The companies have collaborated to send a 40-foot container to St. Vincent. The container will be shipped from St. Maarten to St. Vincent on Sunday, May 23, and will be delivered to Thornley Meyers, St. Vincent Electricity Company CEO in the care of the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO).
Persons and organizations who want to donate items to St. Vincent and the Grenadines may drop off their items off at GEBE daily from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. The airport locations designated for drop offs are the Skyport building in Simpson Bay and the concession area in the Check-In Hall of Princess Juliana International Airport from 9:00am to 3:00pm.
No items will be accepted after Thursday, May 20. This is to allow for packing of the container.
