Opening of the vaccinodrome in Galisbay

After the visit on Monday of the prefect, Serge Gouteyron, the vaccinodrome located on the site of the Carnival village (opposite the Galisbay parking lot) opened its doors to the public yesterday morning.

Run by the French Red Cross, the center is open to all persons over 18 years of age residing in Saint Martin from Monday to Saturday inclusive, from 8:00 a.m.. to 4:00 pm.

To be vaccinated, you just have to come without an appointment, with your health insurance card or simply a proof of residence and an ID. The vaccine administered is from Pfizer.

People who received a first injection of the Moderna vaccine during the April 10th, 17th and 24th operations in Sandy Ground, Concordia and Quartier d’Orléans, are invited to come to the Vaccinodrome on Saturday only. Thus, for those who were vaccinated on April 10th, the second injection should be done on Saturday, May 8th. For those vaccinated on April 17th and April 24th, the booster will be given on Saturday, May 29th.

The medical teams at the Louis-Constant Fleming Hospital remain mobilized as vaccination at the hospital is maintained in parallel with the installation of the vaccinodrome. Appointments can still be made via doctolib.sante.fr .

The prefecture encourages the entire population to be vaccinated to allow a return to normal life. “Only a mass mobilization will achieve the collective immunity on the territory, the population is therefore invited to participate widely in this vaccination campaign,” she said.
