For the week of April 19th to 25th, the Agence Régionale de Santé recorded 22 new active cases of Covid-19 on the French part of the island, 8 more than the week before. Two clusters were also detected, one in EPHAD and the other in a day care center. Taking into account the consolidated data of the previous weeks, this brings the number to 1,745of cumulative confirmed coronavirus cases in the territory since the beginning of the epidemic.
Since Monday, April 26th, 5 new cases have been recorded out of 350 tests performed.
Two confirmed patients are being treated in the medical department of the Louis-Constant Fleming Hospital. No medical evacuation of COVID patients was carried out towards Guadeloupe last week.
In addition, the health authorities have recorded 2 new clusters in the territory, one in an EHPAD of high criticality with 5 cases and one in a crèche of limited criticality with 3 cases.
Epidemiological indicators remain at a low level, despite a slight increase in cases last week, which shows that the virus remains present in the territory.
However, the weekly incidence rate is above the alert threshold. It is 61.5/100,000 inhabitants compared to 39.2/100,000 the previous week. The positivity rate is 1.7%. It is slightly increasing but remains below the vigilance threshold.
Since the start of the vaccination campaign on January 13th, 3,159 people have received their first injection and 1,467 people the second.
