Since the end of last week, large boats were not able to enter or leave the Simpson Bay lagoon. This isdue to the Sandy-Ground bridge breaking down again.
“Due to a technical problem, the interruption of the lifting service of the SandyGround bridge is extended until May 10th, 2021,” says the Collectivity which hopes to reopen in about ten days. A broadcast will be made when the service resumes.
In the meantime, sailboats, catamarans and others haveto be patient and head for the Dutch side to use the maritime passages.
