Holland House Beach Hotel is “cautiously optimistic” about the bookings and about the recovery of the tourism sector in these continuing pandemic times.
“We think that brighter days are ahead,” said Paul Boetekees, Holland House director, about the future.
The hotel in the heart of Philipsburg has kept most staff employed throughout the pandemic. This has helped ensure families are cared for and to boost morale and dedication of staff.
The COVID downtime, when vacationers only trickled here, was used to carry out renovations on the beachfront hotel.
New additions to the hotel are planned from what many in the tourism industry say is shaping up to be a robust high season. “We have developed a new gastronomic retail experience that we are opening after the summer,” Boetekees shared.
Holland House is keeping the vibe in Philipsburg alive in the interim by offering special events such as fashion shows highlighting local aspiring models and music events.
